Introduction
My name is Chris Rogers. I am currently enrolled in the Masters degree program for Instructional Technology at Kennesaw State University. I enrolled in Fall of 2014, and will graduate in the Summer of 2016.
I currently work as a Senior Applications Analyst in the Instructional Solutions department for Gwinnett County Public Schools. I started this job in May 2016, and for the 3 previous years I was the instructional technology coordinator and coach for Harbins Elementary School in Dacula, GA. Before that, I was a 6th and 7th grade teacher for 3 years, as well as a 4th grade classroom teacher for 6 years. I am passionate about using digital tools to enhance student learning, makerspaces, personalized learning, effective use of learning management systems, and personalized professional learning for educators.
I also enjoy learning and sharing with others and I do so in many different ways. I enjoy engaging in social media for building my PLN (Personal Learning Network). You can follow me on Twitter, where I frequently participate in chats and share blogs, articles, and other instructional resources. I would love to connect with you! I also like to present at conferences. This summer, I will present at both the Gwinnett Digital Learning Conference (SO...You've Got a 3D Printer, Now What?) and at the ISTE 2016 Conference (What About the Learning: Deeper Learning within the LMS). I also presented at GaETC in both 2014 and 2015, and currently serve as a member of the GaETC Program Committee. In the summer of 2014, I presented a session on "101 Ways Google Can Help Simplify your Workflow" at the Gwinnett DLC, and I co-presented a session for ISTE 2014 titled "Apple, Android, & Windows - Successful BYOD Implementation."
The purpose of this portfolio website is for me to show my mastery of the technology standards that I have learned while at KSU. Check out the links at the top of this page to see my evidence of meeting the standards.

About This Portfolio
This portfolio is organized into 9 main sections: Introduction (this page), a video reflection on the capstone project, my resume, vision, diversity statement, my work samples (called Standards from the PSC Instructional Technology Standards), my field experiences, my blog, and the capstone project. Most of the work samples are under the standards section, so you can begin your journey there or at any of the headers at the top of this page. Each work sample under standards contains a piece of work I have done either through my job or through a KSU class, as well as a reflection on the artifact detailing how it met that particular standard for technology integration. You may want to save the blog for last to get an idea of what I have done during each class in my Instructional Technology program at KSU. You can also leave comments! Enjoy your journey!
